Griffin Hospital Offers to Pay for Reiki Training if You Volunteer to Give Patients Reiki Treatments

Introductory Reiki training will teach basic energy-healing concepts and offer hands-on practice

Griffin Hospital, located at 130 Division St. in Derby, will offer a Reiki Level 1 Workshop on Tuesday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Reiki is a complementary healing practice that focuses on the intentional movement of energy through the hands. Practitioners use gentle touch or place their hands just above the body to support relaxation, ease energetic blockages, restore balance, and encourage healing on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.

The hospital will pay for your Reiki Training if you promise to volunteer for Reiki at the hospital.

The workshop will be led by Reiki Master Nancy Corvigno, who will introduce participants to the foundational principles of Reiki. The class will include instruction on basic Reiki concepts as well as dedicated time for hands-on practice, giving attendees an opportunity to experience and explore the method in a supportive learning environment.

The cost of the workshop is $150 for the public, including a Reiki book and a certificate of completion. Griffin Hospital will pay for the training in exchange for volunteering Reiki treatments at their hospital. Employees and current volunteers may register for $25. Payment is due at enrollment and must be made by cash or check.

Members of the general public who participate in the workshop are asked to become Griffin Health volunteers. Participants are expected to complete 100 hours of volunteer service before receiving their Reiki completion certificate and tuition reimbursement.
